Does your curly hair feel dry, unhealthy and hard to manage? You probably find yourself asking if the products you’re using really work. Just like you we had our questions too. Will this moisturizer actually improve my hair and maintain my curls? To save you time and headaches, we’ve reviewed a few products specifically for curly hair to share our results and what we’ve discovered about these products.

A few things to get off the bat, all Kinky Curly products are free of alcohol, plastics, petroleum, and all the other ingredients you can’t pronounce. Kinky Curly products also work well on Kinky Curly Solutions extensions. They can keep your weft looking great after long wear.

DevaCurl

After trying this product, we lowkey fell in love the DevaCurl product line. After applying to a few of our gals, we found that it made our product silky soft upon application, when wet of course. What we love about DevaCurl is that it is paraben, sulfate, and silicone free, which can generally dry your curls over time. We did a small regime of using the No-Poo product for a cleansing wash. It can also be used as a deep conditioner. After leaving it under a cap for 20-30 minutes, we found our hair to be a lot less frizzy. And with DevaCurl’s Mister Right, we can keep our curls frizz free day to day.

Moroccan Oil Defining Cream

This cream brought our curls back to life. We even saw an improvement in our curl tightness and bounce. It is loaded with Argan oil which does wonders to hydrate and minimize frizz. This is definitely a product worth incorporating into your daily LOC routine.

Curly Tee Towel

Natural hair pros all talk about the damage towel drying can cause. How we dry our bundles is just as vital as what we put on it. Towels cause breakage and frizz. The best way to retain moisture after washing is to use a t-shirt when drying. However, if you’re like us, you only have so many t-shirts that you want to use for your hair. The Curly Tee Towel is the perfect solution. It’s your very own t-shirt like towel that will help the health of your locks.

Hibiscus Curl Style Milk & Shea Moisture Coconut

This is one of our favorite styling product. It is super lightweight and great for those with both high and low porosity hair. It isn’t greasy so it leaves your hair feeling soft. This product is completely organic and not tested on animals. Its main ingredients include coconut oil, Shea butter and other natural ingredients. This styling milk also works well on our yaki clip in hair extensions. A little goes a long way to get the desired style you want.

Terax Crema Conditioner

This daily conditioner revitalizes, detangles, and improves elasticity that make your curls have an undeniable shine and bounce. This product can be used on natural or treated, which is great for for those transitioning and don’t want to spend on both curly and treated products. This is also a great product to use before installing a protective style. Check out our other post about applying protective wigs made for natural textures.
